The New Wilderness club saw their excellent five-match winning run brought to a shuddering halt
Eton Manor’s good form in the London One North came to an end last weekend after they suffered a heavy defeat away to rivals Brentwood.
Jamie Connors’ team made their way to King George’s Playing Field off the back of five consecutive victories.
A tough test was expected against Brentwood, however, with the Essex club top of the table and unbeaten in the league since September 23.
And unfortunately for Manor, Brentwood proved too strong as they secured a 62-10 win on home soil.
Having exchanging early penalty kicks, the hosts took charge of the first half and came in 29-3 ahead.
It was a similar story after the restart with Brentwood grabbing further tries to earn a comprehensive win.
Manor remain fifth though and are only five points off fourth-placed Amersham & Chiltern and a further eight off Colchester in third.
All teams in the London One North take this weekend off now and return to action on March 3.
