The Coral Coronation Cup takes centre-stage at Romford tomorrow night as the open-race year really does step up a gear at the busiest greyhound track in the UK - and what a cracking field it is.

Admittedly there is no Smiler Jack, but the Essex Vase winner Star Cash Simon is among the entry, as is four-placed Planning, and both will have their supporters tonight. However, let’s take them on!

Seals Babe (8.02) ran a stormer last week to beat Bansha Mo last week and the draw suggests a lead inside is on the cards, perhaps denying Star Cash Simon that luxury.

Planning can be opposed with the aforementioned Bansha Mo when they clash at 8.50pm.

Other Coronation Cup heat bets that catch the eye are Rockview Sail (7.46pm), who overcame a slow start latest to win and could set sail for home sooner tonight.

Ardkill Star (8.18pm) may always be the vanguard position if trapping ahead of the strong-running Be Real.

Rockburst Lenny (8.34) and the speedy Cavan Dancer (9.06pm) are also worth backing, while pick of the supporting races could be top sprinter Lil Risky (9.24), so impressive in the heats on Monday.
