A preview of the new London Super League season, which gets underway on Monday
Romford will be looking to once again provide a strong challenge to reigning London Super League champions Plumstead A when the new term starts next Monday (September 3).
After losing their opening two matches and three of the first six last season, which meant that they were always playing catch-up, previous champions Romford will hope for a better start to the new term.
Plumstead A start as the title favourites, with usual suspects Wood Green, Lewisham and Woolwich Ferry also looking to be in the final shake up.
And the dark horses this season look to be Welling A, who have recruited very well and have ambitions of going all the way in the 14-team division.
John Loeber has left Romford to join local rivals Chadwell Heath, but Terry Rees has returned as team manager to compliment his role as London assistant manager.
Paul Barham rejoins after a season away in Hertfordshire, and new recruit Wayne Bloomfield will bring a wealth of experience this season.
Romford start against Welling B at the Prince Albert, before visiting Bermondsey.
