Huska hits hundred point mark in 9-1 win

Romford Raiders maintained their four-point lead at the top of ENL Division One with a 9-1 success at Bristol.
But they had to come from behind, after Steve Osman’s first-period powerplay strike put the Pitbulls ahead.
The scoreline remained unchanged until the second half of the middle period when Juraj Huska levelled as Raiders enjoyed a man advantage.
Player-coach Danny Marshall put his side ahead on another powerplay, before AJ Smith made it 3-1.
And Romford, despite being without Andrius Kaminskas, Shaun Wallis and JJ McGrath, added six more unanswered goals in the final session as the understrength hosts tired.
Tom Davis, Shaun Yardley and Matt Turner netted within the space of three minutes to double Romford’s tally.
And Turner struck again, before combining with Jason Buckman to set up AJ Smith for number eight.
Marshall completed the tally with just eight seconds left from Huska’s pass, as the Slovakian took his points total for the season to 101.
Huska becomes only the sixth player in Raiders history to score a century in successive seasons, following Gord Jeffrey, Rob Stewart, Marshall, Rob Douglas and Kyle Amyotte.
Title rivals Chelmsford skated to a 7-1 win at basement boys Streatham, but both contenders saw their Sunday night fixtures fall victim to the wintry weather which gripped Britain at the weekend.
Chieftains were due to visit MK Thunder, while Raiders were forced to call off their home match against Slough, who will now visit Rom Valley Way on March 11.
Romford Fury returned to winning ways in ENL Division Two with a 4-3 success at second-placed Peterborough.
It was a sixth win in eight games for Fury to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive.
Kevin Mitchell has high hopes that his dream fight, a clash with WBO lightweight title-holder Ricky Burns, will take place at West Ham United’s Upton Park ground on the night of July 14.
