The special fixture is being held at the Sapphire Ice & Leisure Centre to mark the full-time return of ice hockey to Romford, ahead of the new National League season.

Tomalin came up through the Romford junior ranks at the old Rom Valley Way rink, helping the under-16 Havering Hornets to reach the British Junior final at Wembley Arena.

And he went on to captain the senioe team, playing in 12 different seasons and winning the English League South title in 1996 and play-off title in 2001.

Tomalin’s total of 195 goals and 177 assists in 423 appearances sees him sitting in sixth place in the club’s all-time scoring list.

Meanwhile, Beckett joined the team in 1995 and appeared in eight different campaigns, making a total of 215 appearances and claiming 107 goals and 140 assists.
