Borough squads chase Lord’s places

The draws for this year’s London Youth Games indoor cricket qualifiers have been revealed.

Third seeds Redbridge go up against Brent, Kingston and Westminster in the boys competition on the morning of Saturday February 1, while Havering take on top seeds Harrow, Lambert and Merton in the afternoon.

Tower Hamlets are in action on the second morning of competition on Sunday February 2, taking on Lewisham, Waltham Forest and Bexley and Newham are grouped with Haringey, Hackney and Ealing after lunch.

The girls qualifying competition takes place a week later, with Newham and Redbridge going up against each other on Saturday February 8.

They also have to play Bromley and Merton in their group.

Havering meet Wandsworth and Ealing in a three-team group, while Tower Hamlets take on Greenwich and City of London on February 9.

The qualifying competitions are held at Harrow Leisure Centre, with the finals at Lord’s on March 2.
