London Raiders release forward Pentecost

London Raiders have announced the release of forward James Pentecost due to work commitments.
The former Peterborough junior was signed during the summer, once the club knew of his planned relocation to London, but the decision has been forced upon the Lee Valley-based side due to his lack of commitment due to work.
The 27-year-old has been a productive member of the team, picking up four goals and nine assists, in nine games this campaign.
A statement on the club’s Facebook page said: “James has been in lengthy discussion with the team over the past couple of weeks.
“These discussions have focussed on his frustration that his work commitments have been more disruptive to his hockey than he had expected pre-season.
“The fans do not need this press release to be told that James had been a productive member of the team and he linked up well with other members of the team.
“His hat-trick vs Oxford will probably be his last appearance in the Gold and Blue this season and quite a high point to bow out.
“Both James and the team are disappointed but the reality is his availability was not likely to improve and we know James was unhappy about this. We part on good terms and wish James all the best.”
