Lakeside duo Lewis Bridger and Richard Lawson have been included in the 10-man Great Britain World Cup squad namd by new boss Alun Rossiter.

Rossiter must select four riders for the GB meeting at King’s Lynn on July 26, where they will face Australia, USA and the winners of a qualifying round held tomorrow between Russia, Germany, Italy and Slovenia.

The GB boss said: “I’ve just tried to go with what I think is the best squad available – I’m bound to have upset some people as there were some tough decisions to be made but in this position you have to stand by the decisions you make.

“Some people will agree with the riders I’ve chosen and some will inevitably disagree, but I’ve selected the ten riders that I think will do the best job for Team GB as we try to have a good World Cup.

“I’d like to think we can perform well and challenge for a place straight in the final, or if not make the race-off at the very least.

“We should have a lot of support down at King’s Lynn which will give us a big boost, so fingers crossed when it comes down to it the four riders I select from the squad can step up to the occasion and do a good job for Great Britain.”

Meanwhile, Hammers skipper Davey Watt has been named in the Australia 10-man squad, as has Peter Karlsson in the Sweden squad.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.
