The 20-year-old, who has spent the past two seasons in the gold and blue, will not be returning for a third term and instead will be moving on from the club.

Beesley joined at the start of the 2016/17 season from Bracknell Bees and he made an immediate impression, scoring seven goals and 15 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions, missing just one game against Milton Keynes.

His contribution to the team was recognised by his team mates whose votes won him Players’ Player of the Year award in his first season.

Last season Beesley was one of the five Ironmen appearing in all 46 Raiders games in all competitions, scoring four goals and seven assists for 11 points.

His 86 Raiders appearance sees him reach joint 82nd in the all time ranking alongside artist Peter Doig.

“Unfortunately I won’t be able to return to the Gold and Blue next season, and just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the Raiders fans for making my time at the club so welcoming and being so supportive,” Beesley said.

“You guys have been incredible over the last two years.

“It was a pleasure to play a part in the move from Lee Valley to Romford, so thanks for having me.

“Also a special thanks to Alan Blyth, John Scott, Kev Davis, Sean Easton and the rest of the off-ice staff.

“Hopefully see you all soon - many thanks.”
