Club host their own ‘Australian Open’

David Lloyd Gidea Park held their third Australian Open event recently, with some well-contested matches taking place.

The tournament was sponsored by EXEL Contracts Ltd for a second year running and Zach Humphreys triumphed over James Stanley in a great battle in the red category, while Leo Hewitt came out on top in the Orange category ahead of Owen Fallows.

The Green age group produced another closely fought battle, with Tom Fennessy beating Will Murphy to add another trophy to his growing cabinet, and the Yellow event saw Oliver Morter beat close friend Harrison Ralph to take the number one ranking for the start of the year.
