Essex County FA Event at Shenfield High School

Football mad females in the under-eights to under-18s age groups have a free Girls Festival Fun Day to look forward to from 11am to 2.30pm on Saturday, July 19 as the Essex County FA arrange a series of skills challenges and football activities at Shenfield High School in Alexander Lane.

Due to the popularity of recent ‘England Football Day’ events, and to allow for more participation, separate boys’ and girls’ festivals have been arranged this year. The County FA are inviting any local girls’ clubs or schools to bring their squads to take part in the event, which will include small-sided tournaments.

Anyone who isn’t part of a team is also welcome to attend and play, thanks to the flexible and informal nature of the occasion.

Meanwhile, the boys’ England Football Day has been booked for Saturday, June 21 at Great Baddow High School in Chelmsford. The event is already fully booked as FA Charter Standard clubs scrambled for spaces at the festival for under-sevens to under-10s, which will promote grassroots development and celebrate this year’s World Cup in Brazil.

To secure a place at Girls’ Festival Fun Day, complete the booking form available at essexfa.com and return it to: Essex County FA, The County Office, Springfield Lyons Approach, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 5LB. To submit a form electronically, E-Mail Emma Burden at emma.burden@essexfa.com or call 01245 393073. Information is also shared on Twitter (@EssexCountyFA) and Facebook (EssexFootball).

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.
