Archant’s George Sessions and Ned Keating discuss the 2016/17 season

The 2016/17 football season kicks off this weekend for east London rivals Leyton Orient and Dagenham & Redbridge, with both clubs targetting promotion.

Having just come up short of a play-off place last season, O’s will be keen to make the move up to League One this term under new full-time boss Andy Hessenthaler, who has made nine signings so far this summer.

Dagenham & Redbridge, on the other hand, are looking to bounce back up to League Two at the first attempt following their relegation to the National League in April.

Veteran manager John Still has rung the changes at Victoria Road, with 11 new faces on board for the campaign.

Archant correspondents George Sessions and Ned Keating discuss their thoughts and hopes for O’s and Daggers in our latest Football Talk podcast.
