AFC Hornchurch have been handed a home draw in the FA Trophy first qualifying round against either Phoenix Sports or Ramsgate.

The Urchins will welcome the side who comes out on top in their replay tomorrow evening to Bridge Avenue after they drew 1-1 in the original preliminary round tie on the weekend.

Manager Jimmy McFarlane and his side will be keen to do well in the competition after crashing out of the FA Cup in the third qualifying round.

They’ll also be keen to boost the club’s finances for their Bostik Premier Division campaign with the prize money being £3,250 in this upcoming round.

With the preliminary round taking place across the country over the weekend, there will now be 72 ties at the next stage featuring 144 non-League clubs.

There are 88 clubs who enter the competition at this stage, including the Urchins, after being exempt from the first two rounds.

The matches will take place on Saturday, October, 27.
