Kelvedon Hatch took over at the top of the Essex Olympian League Premier Division table with a 4-0 win over Newham United.

Mike Daniels netted a hat-trick for Hatch, with Lee Newton also on target, while Manford Way got the better of rivals Frenford in their derby.

Tom Davie, Damian Yoxhall and Reece Tranter struck in a 3-1 win, as Billy Whatling replied for Frenford.

Newbury Forest lost to White Ensign by the odd goal in seven, while Harold Hill edged past May & Baker thanks to Craig Hall’s goal.

Danny Driscoll and Ade Onileyan found the net as Harold Wood Athletic beat Buckhurst Hill 2-0, but their reserves lost 1-0 to Epping, whose winner came from the penalty spot.

FC Hamlets enjoyed a good run in the Senior Cup last season, but were knocked out by Leigh Ramblers after extra time.

Johan Bako struck for Hamlets, but Nathan Dewberry’s double sent Leigh through.

Raheem Waithe hit a hat-trick in Hutton’s 6-1 win over Sungate, with Keelan O’Donovan, Luke Taylor and Luke Meadwright also on the scoresheet.

Herongate Athletic came from behind to beat Southend Sports 5-2, as Jack Davidson and Glen Jordan bagged braces and Lee Atkinson also notched.

Snaresbrook are the early pacesetters in Division One after a 4-2 win at Shenfield.

Daniel Tesfay, Josh Woodcock, Nick Jackson and Jay Sendal netted for the winners, as Luke Williamson and Billy Texeria replied for Shenfield.

Toby fell to a 2-0 loss at Ongar Town, while Galleywood and Canning Town battled to a goalless stalemate.
