West Ham United might not have a game to look forward to this weekend, but there is a new managerial era to — possibly — get the fans excited.

With Slaven Bilic sacked on Monday, David Moyes was swiftly named as the Croatian’s replacement on Tuesday morning and the Scot has already been making his presence felt on the training ground.

Elsewhere, Leyton Orient return to National League action when they make the short trip to Ebbsfleet United in a game to be shown live on BT Sport on Saturday evening, with Steve Davis’ men not having the best of records in front of the cameras this term.

The O’s were knocked out of the FA Cup by Gillingham last weekend and it was a case of déjà vu with regards to the goals conceded.

Dagenham & Redbridge are back after a two-week break when they visit Tranmere Rovers this weekend.

Daggers were without a game last Saturday, so will the break have helped John Still’s side in their bid to string wins together?

The weekend also sees a ‘Groundhopping’ event in the Essex Senior League, and all this, plus more, is discussed on this week’s East London Football Podcast.
