Teams learn Essex Senior Cup fate.
League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge will be hoping for better luck at the second time of asking after being drawn against reigning Essex Senior Cup champions Concord Rangers in the quarter-finals,
The Daggers lost out to the Beachboys 4-3 in the second round back in 2012, having lead 3-0 at half time thanks to Jake Reed’s double and one for Rouchy Efambe.
But Harry Elmes’ second half hat-trick helped them produce a Cup shock on that occasion, and the Daggers will be keen to avoid a similar result.
Meanwhile 2013 winners AFC Hornchurch will be on the road to either Redbridge or Ryman Premier rivals Canvey Island, who are scheduled to play their fourth round tie on Tuesday.
The Urchins sealed their spot in the last eight of the competition with a 2-0 win over Burnham Ramblers, courtesy of loanee Michael Malcolm’s double.
Quarter-Finals (on or before Saturday 24th January): Aveley v Thurrock, Billericay Town v Brightlingsea Regent, Dagenham & Redbridge v Concord Rangers, Redbridge or Canvey Island v AFC Hornchurch.
