The fixtures for the 2018/19 National League season have been released

Peter Taylor will begin his reign as Dagenham & Redbridge boss with a trip to Boreham Wood on the opening day of the National League season on August 4.

The fixtures were released on Wednesday afternoon, with Daggers scheduled to start away from home for the first time since returning to non-league football in 2016.

The first home game of the season for new manager Taylor takes place on August 7 when Maidstone United visit.

The opening month of the season also sees the Victoria Road outfit host Maidenhead United on August 11; head for Aldershot Town on August 14; visit Halifax Town on August 18; and entertain Hartlepool United on August 25.

The final fixture of the first month of the season sees Daggers travel to Barnet on August 27, managed by John Still and with a squad featuring plenty of their former players.

Other fixtures that are sure to whet the appetite include the visit from Braintree Town on September 4; the trip to Sutton United on November 3; and the visit to Bromley on November 24.

The Christmas period sees Daggers host Leyton Orient on Boxing Day, welcome Barnet on December 29 and visit the O’s on New Year’s Day.

Daggers welcome Sutton on February 23 and have a visit from Bromley on March 9.

The Easter weekend sees Daggers entertain Eastleigh on Good Friday (April 19), before visiting Braintree Town on April 22 in their final away game of the season.

Taylor’s men host Solihull Moors on April 27 in their final league game of the term.
