Daggers stopper restored to starting XI after watching FA Cup clash from bench

Elliot Justham is set to return between the sticks for Dagenham & Redbridge after being rested for last weekend’s FA Cup match.

Mark Cousins replaced Justham in goal, with the ex-Luton Town stopper on the bench, but the roles will be reversed for the visit of Gateshead in the National League.

There will also be a change in midfield too, with Andre Boucaud away representing Trinidad & Tobago in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

With Luke Howell out with a knee injury and Frankie Raymond excelling at left-back, there could be a first start for Scott Heard alongside Matt Robinson.

Elsewhere, it appears to be a case of as you were, with a back four of Joe Widdowson, Scott Doe, Josh Staunton and Raymond.

Corey Whitely and Jordan Maguire-Drew will operate as wingers, with Luke Guttridge in the hole behind striker Oliver Hawkins.

Luke Pennell (ACL) remains a long-term doubt, but Curtley Williams, Craig Robson and Fejiri Okenabirhie (all knee) are nearing returns to fitness.

Probable XI: Justham; Widdowson, Doe, Staunton, Raymond; Heard, Robinson; Maguire-Drew, Guttridge, Whitely; Hawkins
