Dagenham & Redbridge team news: Daggers unlikely to make changes for Barrow trip

PUBLISHED: 08:00 18 March 2017

Daggers manager John Still could stick with same squad that beat Forest Green Rovers last weekend

Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still may be reluctant to change a winning squad when his team make the trip to Barrow in the National League this weekend.

Daggers recorded a first win in three matches against Forest Green Rovers last time out, turning in arguably their best performance of the season.

That’s not to say there are no selection dilemmas for Still, with the Daggers boss having some tough choices to make.

One of those comes in attack, with top scorer Oliver Hawkins looking a little tired in recent weeks.

With a game to come on Tuesday night, Still could opt to rest his leading man and replace him with Paul Benson.

There is also the chance that new man Elliott Romain could come in for Hawkins, though it is more likely that any debut will come from the bench.

In defence, Shaun Donnellan is understood to have overcome the back spasm that forced him off at half time last week, but still finds his place under threat.

Josh Staunton replaced Donnellan at the break against Forest Green Rovers and was colossal in defence in the second period, so could start at Holker Street.

Otherwise, it’s as you were with Elliot Justham in goal and Jake Sheppard, Scott doe and Joe Widdowson in defence.

Craig Robson will partner Andre Boucaud in midfield, with Corey Whitely in the number 10 role and Fejiri Okenabirhie and Jordan Maguire-Drew on the flanks.

Matt Robinson, Curtley Williams and Luke Guttridge could all be on the bench after recent injuries.

Luke Howell is still a couple of weeks away from full fitness, while Luke Pennell is also edging closer to a return following his ACL injury.

Daggers: Justham; Sheppard, Doe, Staunton, Widdowson; Robson, Boucaud; Maguire-Drew, Whitely, Okenabirhie; Benson
