Daggers reveal double swoop at half time during National League clash with Southport

Dagenham & Redbridge have added to their attacking options with the addition of two strikers in Paul Benson and Corey Whitely.

Benson returns to Victoria Road following his release from Luton Town in the summer, and was part of the Daggers team that won promotion from the Conference in 2007 and to League One in 2010 and has penned an initial one-year deal.

Whitely, meanwhile, has joined on a two-year contract from Enfield Town, having scored 27 goals in 47 games for the Ryman Premier outfit last season.

The duo will compete for the attacking berths with Oliver Hawkins, Christian Assombalonga and Fejiri Okenabirhie.

Benson takes the number 14 shirt, which he wore during his previous stint at Victoria Road, while Whitely has been handed number 25, last worn by Matty Cash.
