Daggers teenager impressed during pre-season
Dagenham & Redbridge scholar Tyrique Hyde has signed an initial one-year professional deal with the Victoria Road side.
The central midfielder featured for Daggers in pre-season and made a telling impression on the senior staff.
The 17-year-old will be hoping to have as successful a career as his father Micah, who played for Watford in the Premier League.
And Daggers boss John Still expects big things from the young Hyde, who will wear the number 20
“We’ve had Tyrique working with us since pre-season and we have all been impressed with him,” said Still.
“His dad runs our youth system and he was a good player, so the boy has a bit of pedigree in him.
“We want to bring him on slowly and he has been with us to a few games, so he understands the running of a match day.
“He’s a young player who has very good potential so over the coming months people may get to see a bit more of him.”
