Dagenham & Redbridge will host National League leaders Dover Athletic at Victoria Road this evening (7.45pm).
The Daggers will be looking to make it back-to-back wins after a recent dip in form that saw them only pick up one win in eight before Saturday’s 3-2 victory against Guiseley.
Manager John Still admits it will be a tough test for his side but believes every match is going to be hard this season.
“It will be tough like Guiseley, they went to Accrington and won with ten-men,” he said.
“This league is tough, whoever you play, Guiseley were big and strong.
“I thought they were very lucky to get away with the first thirty seconds I thought it was a sending-off in my opinion.”
Still will come against two of his former players in Josh Passley and Femi Ilesanmi in tonight’s clash and admits it will be nice to see them but the main thing is getting three points.
“No more than I look forward to the other games, it’s always good to see your ex-players and when you do see them I think it’s nice to say hello and whatever, but business is business and you need to win the game.”
Fejiri Okenabirhie could return to the match day squad after missing out on selection in Saturday’s victory.
“The substitutes can be a bit tactical, we want to push Dan Sparkes on as he’s been out a while, so he’s fresh,” Still said.
“The chances are Faye will be back in the frame, he’s a good player and he’s not been as good as he can be of late, but it happens and I think when players lose a bit of form it doesn’t mean to say they’ll never be good again, it’s just football.
“He’ll be back in the frame.”
