New Daggers front man will hope to be latest in long list of striker to flourish under Still

Dagenham & Redbridge have signed forward Elliott Romain from National League South side Eastbourne Borough for an undisclosed fee.

Romain has been in prolific form for the Sports this season, notching 20 goals for them in the league.

It was that form which alerted Daggers boss John Still to the 25-year-old, who has signed a contract until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

Daggers are also understood to have beaten National League promotion rivals Forest Green Rovers to Romain’s signature.

A pacy forward, Romain began his career by spending time in the youth teams of both Brighton & Hove Albion and Millwall.

Romain’s first experience of senior football came with Three Bridges, where he enjoyed four successful seasons.

In the summer of 2015, Romain then moved on to Eastbourne and has been impressing for Borough ever since.

Romain will wear the number nine shirt for Daggers and will be available for Saturday’s trip to Barrow.
