Daggers head to Fleet for the third of four matches in nine days
Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still has faith his team can cope with the demands of a packed festive schedule as they head for Ebbsfleet United in the National League on Saturday.
The Essex club head over the Dartford Crossing for the third of four matches in just a nine-day spell between December 23 and January 1.
Daggers have lost the first two of those four matches, going down at home to Eastleigh on Saturday, before losing at Leyton Orient on Boxing Day.
Still will hope the Victoria Road outfit can return to winning ways against the Fleet on Saturday, and the Daggers boss has few concerns over the packed run taking its toll on his squad.
“I’ve got no issues with the fixture list at this time of year. I’d sooner have the team playing than training. I’m happy to play Saturday-Tuesday for a whole season, it doesn’t bother me,” said the 67-year-old.
“It’s just one of those things you have to get on with. We’re happy with it, it’s just about our preparation.
“The last six games, we’ve won four of them; yes, we’ve lost the last two, but we were poor on Saturday and not poor against Leyton Orient.
“I thought we did OK on Boxing Day in a local derby, but I don’t think we did enough attack-wise.”
