Daggers winger in squad for non-league national team’s trip to Dublin this Saturday

Fejiri Okenabirhie may have played his last game this season for Dagenham & Redbridge almost four weeks ago, but the forward has one final game to look forward to.

The former Stevenage man has been named in the latest England C squad, who will play a friendly match in Dublin on Saturday.

And the 22-year-old will hope to continue his good form for the non-league national team, having netted a hat-trick in a 3-2 win away to Wales C in March.

“It will be nice to finish the season after the season has ended with another good game,” said the Daggers attacker.

“It’s good to be called up and hopefully I can do well for the team again.”

Okenabirhie is not the only Daggers man to have been named in the squad, with Charlee Adams and Luke Pennell also called up.

And the winger is looking forward to linking up with his club colleagues on England C duty.

“Charlee and I were both in the last squad, so we’ve both done well to be called up again. Penns is coming into the squad for the first time, but I’m sure he’ll do well and it’s good to have three of us representing the team.”
