Pitch at Nethermoor Park currently under 20cm, leading to match being postponed

Dagenham & Redbridge will be without a game in the National League on Saturday after their planned trip to Guiseley was postponed.

With much of the country still feeling the affects of the cold weather, the decision was take to call the match off on Thursday afternoon.

The pitch at Nethermoor Park is currently under 20cm of snow, and with sub-zero temperatures predicted until the weekend, it is unlikely to thaw out in time for Saturday.

Daggers had been hoping to do the double over the Lions after coming from two goals down to win the first meeting between the sides in November.

A date has yet to be confirmed for the rearranged fixture, though they have up to 42 days after the initial date to play the game.

Daggers will hope for better luck with the weather on March 10 when they entertain promotion hopefuls Tranmere Rovers at their Victoria Road home.
