Former Boreham Wood man took to Twitter after loss at Silkmen

Ben Nunn thanked the Dagenham & Redbridge fans for their support this season after ending the National League campaign with a 2-0 loss at Macclesfield Town.

A late double from Scott Wilson consigned Daggers to a defeat on the final day of what has been a testing campaign, both on and off the pitch.

The result means John Still’s men ended the term in 11th, five points adrift of a play-off place.

However, that was still some achievement for a team who spent the second half of the campaign dealing with uncertainty surrounding the Essex club’s future.

And Nunn took to Twitter to praise the Daggers fans for sticking by the team throughout the season.

“Another campaign done...gutted to not have fulfilled our potential!” posted the defender.

“It’s been a funny old season, but thank you to all the Dagenham fans for your effort and dedicated support throughout, it’s greatly appreciated.”
