Dagenham & Redbridge boss Peter Taylor is disappointed as his side fell to a third defeat in their opening four National League fixtures with a 2-1 defeat to Aldershot Town.

The Daggers remain in the bottom four after four games as they still search for their first victory of the new season after falling 2-0 behind thanks to goals from Scott Rendell and Shamir Fenelon before Chike Kandi gave them some hope as he clawed one back late on.

Although, the visitors thought they had scored in the dying stages of the match, but it was flagged down for offside.

“We were a little bit disappointed as we felt as though it could have been onside, until you check the linesman has got to make a decision, and he thinks he’s got it right so we’ll wait and see,” Taylor said.

“We started the game very poorly and you’re going to give yourself an uphill task if you start like that, so we’ve got to start better than that.”
