Daggers wants youngsters to sign up for scheme run in partnership with Barking & Dagenham College

Dagenham & Redbridge are on the lookout for the next generation of stars to join their College Academy side, with applications open for the 2017/18 season.

In partnership with Barking & Dagenham College, Daggers are now recruiting for their Elite Academy Team for next season.

As an Academy student, the youngsters will benefit from studying with an award-winning college, training with professional coaches and also have the potential to trial for the Daggers youth teams.

The Elite Team will also play in the highest youth league outside of professional academies, the Football Conference Youth Alliance.

Students will train four times a week and will have the chance to play for one of four Academy teams on Wednesdays.

The scheme also offers the youngsters the chance to play for the England College team, go on a residential tour to Seville in Spain and gain a football scholarship at an American college.

Recent graduates of the scheme include striker Jakub Berkowicz, who signed his first professional contract with Daggers last summer.

Anyone interested in applying can download a form here, and once submitted should be emailed to BOTH joel.oliver@bdc.ac.uk and jimmy.martin@bdc.ac.uk.

Applications should be submitted as soon as possible.
