Belfry through to County Cup semi-finals

09:00 16 February 2014

London City Airport League outfit Belfry are the only side guaranteed a berth in the semi-finals of the Essex Sunday Junior Cup as the Dagenham-based club seek their first ever County Cup triumph.

Standing in their way will be Wennington Rovers or Leabridge Rangers on March 2 while one of Ford Emblem, Campion Old Boys or Parsloe Athletic will host Barking or London APSA A for a place in the final at Brightlingsea Regent FC’s North Road ground in mid April.

The inclement weather has scuppered each of the Saturday Junior Cup quarter-finals so far, with each tie trying again to be completed this weekend. For those sides who progress, a semi-final will await, with Manford Way Reserves or Gas Recreation Reserves hosting Tillingham Hotspur or Catholic United Reserves.

Ashingdon or Harold Wood Athletic Reserves will entertain either Ramsden Scotia Reserves or Runwell Hospital Reserves. The Saturday Junior Cup semis will be played on March 8 with the final scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 at Billericay Town FC’s New Lodge.
