Upminster's Billy Wright and Kevin Roome

Upminster's Billy Wright and Kevin Roome

Archant

Upminster blogger Nick Ison interviews fourth-team captain Billy Wright

NI: Who would you like to play you in a film of your life?

BW: I think Carlton Cole would be great at playing me in a film. He has great emotional range and we both spend our time mocking Spurs on twitter!

***

NI: What would be your fancy dress costume of choice?

BW: The red Power Ranger, he was always the leader wasn’t he?

***

NI: Describe Alex Bottoms batting in 3 words?

BW: Doesn’t. Last. Long.

***

NI: You are hosting Come Dine With Me. You can choose four guests, two from Upminster Cricket Club and two celebrities. Who would you choose?

BW: From the club I would invite James Evans and Kevin Roome. James doesn’t mind a glass of red wine and Kevin is part of my 4th XI ginger quota with Steve Limn.

I would also invite Diafra Sakho so he can talk about his goals and Floyd Mayweather who will most likely splash the cash and pay for the whole thing.

***

NI: What club has the best teas?

BW: An away game at Hornchurch fills me up for about a week. The cheese and beans filled Yorkshire puddings are the one!

***

NI: Would you rather take an Ashes five-wicket haul at Lord’s or score an FA Cup-winning goal for West Ham?

BW: Tough questions, I would rather take an Ashes five-wicket haul. Get my name on the board and take out Watson’s off pole!

***

NI: Who is the longest in the shower?

BW: Karim Govani takes about 20 minutes to wash his forest of a chest. I haven’t seen that much body hair since I met King Kong at Disneyland!
