Shenfield Cricket Club under-12s continue their run of form this season, making it to the semi-finals of the Brian Taylor Trophy after beating one of the favourites in the competition High Roding CC.

The top half the batting order put on 110 with Evan Ackerman (40), James MacCullum (28), Max Toolan (20), Adam Pryor (22) all contributing with solid scores.

Supported by the lower order of Dillon Small (16) and Tom Arnold (21), a total of 197 was given to high Roding to chase.

A top class team performance in the field from Shenfield saw High Roding limited to 158 all out with Max Toolan (3-18) the stand-out bowler while George Gunyon, Dillon Small and Tom Arnold all chipped in with a wicker each.

They will now face Frenford CC in the semi-final after they secured a nine wicket victory against Billericay in their quarter-final tie.
