Hamzah Sheeraz was happy with his five-minute pro debut win at the Copper Box Arena on Saturday.

The super-welterweight, developed at Harold Hill’s Five Star BC, dropped durable Norwich rival Duane Green with solid jabs and powerful hooks.

And although Green got back to his feet he was shaken by more accurate shots before the referee Lee Every called a halt.

“After working hard in the gym for months it felt great stopping a tough fighter like Green. My journey has just begun,” said Sheeraz, who sold over 300 tickets for his debut on the Frank Warren show, topped by WBO world middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders points win over American Willie Monroe Jr.

Sheeraz is trained by veteran Lenny Butcher and another member of the Five Star-based squad, Romford super-lightweight Sanjeev Sahota bids for his ninth straight win at Brentwood on October 7 alongside unbeaten cruiserweight Mark Little.
