Discus thrower Duane to compete at Loughborough

Havering discus thrower Diane Jibunoh has been selected to compete for Great Britain Juniors in this Sunday’s Loughborough International.

The 18-year-old, coached by Sam Harrison, joined Havering from Thurrock earlier this year and currently leads the UK U20 discus rankings with his 49.68m personal best.

He is also the leading U20 with the senior 2kg implement which he will be throwing at Loughborough.

To gain selection for the World Junior Championships in Eugene, Oregon later this year Duane needs to achieve the daunting UK standard of 58.00m.
