Harold Wood Running club members beat best times

Ten Harold Wood Running Club members took part in the Raphael’s parkrun this week with two of them obtaining personal best times.

Scott Brown finished in 23.32 and Joy Reid in 31.49 to break their existing records at the club’s local run on Saturday.

The following day, three of the club’s ladies ran the Thorpe Park half marathon, Kaye Jackson in 1.59.56, Leanne Mitchell in 2.24 and Corinne Mouhot in 2.28.

On Monday, club captain, Craig Brown completed the Warmer Castle, Dover marathon.

A club spokeswoman said: “Huge congratulations to him on running with the wind chill factor, a temperature -8 he managed a personal best in four hours and 44 minutes.”
