Harold Wood Running Club members enjoyed a successful weekend as many achieved personal best times.

Nine club members took part in four park runs across different locations this weekend with three of the runners landing new top times.

Chris King crossed the line in 18:56 at Southend, Kate Adams ran 24:15 at Burgess Park and Hayley Smith completed her 5K in 25:22.

On Sunday, eight members took part in the Dunton 10 miler, The Test Track 10 is a 10 mile run set within Ford Motor Company, Basildon.

A club spokeswoman said: “The runners said that it was a brilliant route.

“The atmosphere was amazing, the team really encouraged each other to get through it and it will definitely be a race for the diary next year.”

A handful of members will now be training for the Brentwood half marathon on March, 18. Visit http://haroldwoodrunning.club/.
