Harold Wood Running Club members joined in the Farleigh Hospice Bubble Rush in Chelmsford this weekend.

The fun run, which had more than 1,500 participants, offered a zumba themed warm-up run and a selfie area for the competitors ahead of the event.

The runners then moved on to the 5k run, that included five different coloured bubble stations situated around the route to run through, while high powered bubble cannons blow out 30 cubic metres of bubbles a minute.

A club spokeswoman said: “We started in white foam, onto hello yellow, don’t be blue, mean in green and finished at pretty in pink.

“We loved every minute.

“It was a very well organised event and I am sure we will be back again next year.”

Bubble Rush events are held around the UK from April to October and each one raises funds to support the work of a local hospice like Farleigh Hospice.
