Harold Wood Running Club member Gill Brogan set a new personal best at the Raphael parkrun, clocking a time of 38 minutes and six seconds last weekend.

Fellow Harold Wood member Maggie Kelly, meanwhile, finished her first parkrun since completing the club’s ‘Couch to 5k’ programme, while others took part in the Harrow Lodge event.

Craig Brown took in the Saxon, Vikings and Normans Marathon event, which saw entrants complete as many laps of the 5.2-mile circuit in six hours, with the Harold man completing a marathon distance.

Corrine Mouhot, meanwhile, arranged a memory walk through the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to raise awareness of dementia.

Mouhot has become a ‘Dementia Friend’ and if offering free talks at local libraries. Anyone interested in these free talks should contact the club through info@haroldwoodrunning.club.
