The latest news from the Harold Wood Running Club
Three Harold Wood Running Club members started 2018 in style by running two parkruns on New Year’s Day.
Craig Brown, Chris King and Lisa Deneen all completed two parkuns on the first day of the New Year to get 2018 off to a good start.
Several of their club colleagues were also in parkrun action on New Year’s Day, running at the events at Valentines, Harrow Lodge and Billericay.
At the Valentines event, Lynsey Mann was able to set a personal best of 31 minutes and 48 seconds.
Elsewhere, Rosie Hatch ended 2017 by setting a new PB for 10k, while Adam Bartlett ran the same race in under 40 minutes.
Craig Brown, meanwhile, ran 15.5 miles in the latest race in the Saxon Marathon series in Dover.
On January 8, the club’s ‘Introduction to Running’ programme begins.
