Four members of Harold Wood Running Club took part in the Mo 10k at Greenwich at the weekend.
And it proved to be a very worthwhile trip for three of them, as they set personal bests for the distance despite having to do battle with a hilly course.
Craig Brown led the Wood quartet home in 51 minutes 30 seconds, as Kaye Jackson recorded a new best of 52.46 and Parisa Skeldon (64.00) and Lynsey Mann (71.00) also went faster than before.
A percentage of the race proceeds will be donated to the Movember foundation for men’s health charities.
Other Harold Wood club members were in action at the Harrow Lodge parkrun, where runners dressed up as dinosaurs to raise awareness for mental health charity Havering Mind.
Meanwhile, Wood’s Gill Brogan clocked a new best of 37.34 at the latest Raphael parkrun in Romford, where other club members were also in action.
