The chairman of the Romford Conservative Association believes his party has done all it can in the build up to the election.

Cllr Osman Dervish said: “It’s an exciting day. We have done all we can.”

When asked about the threat of Ukip, he added: “It has a presence, but when we start talking about local elections, it’s the Conservatives that people talk about.”
