Local Elections: Residents’ Association take Elm Park from Conservatives

The Residents’ Association have won Elm Park from the Conservatives by a significant margin and have removed a cabinet member from his post.

Julie Wilkes, Stephanie Nunn and Barry Mugglestone have been voted in with 1,432, 1,598 and 1,691 votes respectively while three current Conservative councillors have lost their seats.

One of the Tory’s losses is Cllr Barry Tebbutt who is a cabinet member in charge of client services. He received 494 votes

Conservatives Cllr Rebbecca Bennett and Cllr Barry Oddy received 781 and 609 votes respectively.

The turnout in Elm Park was lower than the previous wards at 44 per cent.
