The leader of the Residents’ Association (RA) thinks the outcome of Havering’s local election will be “positive” for his party.

Cllr Clarence Barrett is awaiting the count results before he makes too much judgement but he believes that the RA may take Harold Wood.

The ward currently has two Conservative councillors and one from the RAs.

After pacing around the counting hall, he said: “Preliminary glances are looking positive.”
