The Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement and Leadership Awards Ceremony
ALL kids are special but there are some who go the extra mile to better themselves or help someone out - and they were duly awarded for their efforts in a special annual awards bash.
Some 140 youngsters from secondary schools across the borough turned out for the seventh annual Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement and Leadership awards ceremony on Tuesday evening.
The Foundation JPF is a grant-making trust that supports clubs, schools and projects in London and west Essex and has since inception in 1999 donated £25 million to clubs, schools and organisations.
The awards, which took place at the Queen's Theatre in Billet Lane, recognise youngsters who have raised the bar in helping peers - from setting up an anti-bullying club or raising money for charity.
Staff at schools were handed Leadership Awards in recognition of those who have gone a step further than necessary.
All the children and adults are pictured here for you to see.
