A 79-year-old pedestrian spent Christmas in hospital after she was involved in a car crash in Rainham.

The woman was rushed to the Royal London Hospital, Tower Hamlets, suffering from severe pelvic and leg injuries after the collision.

The crash, which also involved a blue Vauxhall Corsa, took place in Mungo Park Road last Friday (December 21) at 11.30am.

The woman remained in hospital as the Recorder went to press.
