Last night Recorder readers got the chance to ask local election candidates their burning questions, and now you can let us know who you think came out on top.

The local elections in Havering will take place on Thursday May 3 and last night (Thursday, April 12) we held our own hustings that was broadcast live on Facebook.

Candidates from across the borough were asked questions on knife crime, housing, fly-tipping, potholes and our own personal favourite which was “if you had a superpower what would it be and how would it benefit the borough.”

So now is your chance to let us know who you think came across the best by voting in our poll.

And don’t worry if you didn’t see the hustings then the video is below so you can watch and let us know what you think.

Please send your comments and opinions to and they might be used in an article in the Recorder next week.
