To send a link to this page to a friend, you must be logged in.

It aims to save shoppers money and give local traders a boost.

Recorder staff and town crier Harry Matthew were in Collier Row Road handing out goody bags and speaking to residents and shopkeepers.

Elsewhere the Recorder team – with newshound mascot Scoopy and Romford town crier Tony Appleton – were meeting the public to show off the new-look newspaper.

The team visited Asda in Dagenham, Tesco in Dovers Corner, Rainham, and Homebase in Romford.
