The force was strong around Harold Hill this weekend as Star Wars fans flocked to meet Darth Vader actor David Prowse.

The star, who played the vengeful Sith Lord in the original Star Wars trilogy, was the premier attraction at a charity convention held in aid of stroke victims at Harold Hill Community Centre.

He spoke to Recorder photographer Elinor Hoskins about being the man in the suit.
