Complaints about speeding drivers in St Mary’s Lane, Upminster, saw police mount a safety campaign.
Officers from Upminster and Emerson Park Safer Neighbourhoods Teams used handheld speed guns to check how fast passing motorists were travelling.
More than 30 vehicles were stopped and two fixed penalty notices were given for people driving with excessive speed.
Acting Sergeant Ross Evans of Upminster SNT said: “Speeding in and around Upminster continues to be a concern for many local residents. We will continue to focus on this priority to make the roads on a ward even safer.”
