The trial of a 46-year-old man accused of torching a Ferrari parked on a drive has been pushed back to February next year.

Wasim Mir, of Cranley Drive, Newbury Park, appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Monday charged with arson and damage to property which could have endangered lives.

The trial, which had been scheduled for November 6, has now been pushed back to February 5 2018.

The incident took place over a year ago, on September 7 2016.

Emergency services were called to Nelmes Crescent, Emerson Park, in the early hours of the morning and found a Ferrari on fire.

Mr Mir was charged shortly afterwards, and has already made several court appearances.

He indicated his plea would be not guilty on March 27.
